Terms of Service
By using fwdexpenses (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. fwdexpenses is operated by Madhavi Solanki at Cyphertree Technologies, Pune, India.
1. What the Service does
fwdexpenses lets you forward bills and receipts to a personal email alias and have them automatically extracted into a ledger. It also lets you upload bank statements and reconciles them against your forwarded bills. The Service uses AI (OpenAI gpt-4o-mini) to extract structured data from your emails and statements.
2. Beta status
The Service is currently in beta. It is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, performance, or feature availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
3. Your account
You sign in via Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You agree not to share your account with others.
You may delete your account at any time by emailing the address below. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these terms.
4. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you upload or forward to the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it's handled.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Forward emails containing illegal content, malware, or spam
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without permission
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Resell or sublicense the Service
6. AI extraction — accuracy
The Service uses AI to extract data from emails, images, and PDFs. AI extraction can be wrong. AI-parsed bank statements are flagged in the UI with an “AI parsed, review carefully” warning. You are responsible for verifying any numbers or dates before relying on them for accounting, tax, or financial decisions.
7. Not financial or tax advice
fwdexpenses is a software tool for organising your own expense data. It is not a financial adviser, tax preparer, or accountant. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional advice.
8. Service provided “as is”
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed INR 1,000.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India.
